Over 240 students representing representing 44 universities from across the UK have been selected to compete at the UK Cyber Leaders Challenge Regional Qualifiers.

These one-day events will take place in the first week of February in Cheltenham, Manchester and online to decide which 17 teams will make it to the National Finals in March.

We are delighted to see such a wide spread of competitors with 45% identifying as female, 49% from minority ethnicities, 14% with a disability & 22% being neurodivergent - all above industry averages (DSIT).

Scenario Stage 1 has been released to teams. It contains several artefacts which allude to a fictional vulnerability affecting UK ports.

The teams are tasked with advising local government on how to respond to this potential cyber incident. They will be presenting their Briefing to a panel of expert judges, consisting of cyber professionals from across government & industry.

We wish the best of luck to all teams & can’t wait to see you in February!
